A strange and seductive science fiction series that will be your new obsession

Here is the first sequence of Dynamo , a crazy indie scifi web series that is one of the coolest ( and cockamamie ) things I ’ve interpret in a while . With optical effect that are dreamy and evocative , Dynamo is a gonzo peep into a post - revelatory futurity where it seems there is only one city left on Earth . A eldritch cast of character reference — including a wanted malefactor , a “ superintelligence agent , ” a mysterious bearded serviceman from space , a ninja who lives in the “ dustlands , ” and an adorkable mates who wish stargazing — are all living in this unearthly next Earth , their route crossing and diverging . At first , it will seem like a lot of random story , but be patient . It starts to total together by the third episode .

The soundtrack and design combine noir , cyberpunk , Western , samurai trope , and Hellenic scientific discipline fiction into one gorgeous , extremely fun mindbender . The performing is generally quite good too . episode range from 5 to 15 minute , and there are only 4 of them so far , which is frustrating because I get the sensation that all these disparate plot line are coming together into something seriously awe-inspiring .

VFX designer Ian Hubert describes Dynamo as “ a sci - fi / fantasty / precious cyberpunk web series made for multitude who do n’t beware being confused , by people who try really firmly . ” All the CG is done in the candid source political program Blender .
