The Oct. 16 discharge from St. Martin ’s Press includes all 29 bulk in Dozois ’ annual sketch of the field . Plus some other peachy Dozois anthology , including The Best of the Best : 20 Years of the Best , Modern Classics of Fantasy , The Good Old Stuff and The Good New Stuff .
The Year ’s Best serial publication has won the Locus Award for best anthology 18 years , more than any other series . The St. Martins printing press release quotes George R.R. Martin as saying , “ If a science fiction fan from 1984 chanced to falter into a time deflection and pop up in the here and now , and wanted to bed what had been happening in his favorite music genre in the past twenty years , all you ’d need to do was hand him a copy of Gardner Dozois ’s beneficial … choose by the most respected editor program in the field . ”
