I ’m not indisputable this story is rightful , but if it is , I ’m going to go buy a chapeau just so I can take it off in this guy ’s honor . Is there anything epithelial duct taping ca n’t do ( besides reparation canal ) ?
So this pilot was flying out in the Alaskan backcountry ( is there a frontcountry in Alaska ? ) for a sportfishing trip and mistakenly bequeath some impudent bait in his plane . That was a prominent mistake , since there are likely more bears than multitude in those part . One of the local bear lay waste to his plane while front for the bait , leaving it in a condition bad for flying . That picture :
After the attack , our imposing pilot predict in a buddy to deliver some new tires , sheet plastic and a humongous three eccentric of duct tape . After using those material , his newly patched - up plane looked like this :
Apparently the repairs were sturdy enough that the pilot was able to flee his canal - taped plane home safely ( not sure how far — peradventure he was from Dawson City or something ) . There are in spades understanding to be questioning of the story , but I ’m kick the bucket to select to disregard all of them , and instead toast both this man and duct tape measure . [ CNET ]
