The 2019Grammy Awardsnominations have been announced and music’s biggest stars couldn’t be more excited!

On Friday, the nominations were revealed acrossCBS This Morning, Apple Music and theGrammys website. While this year’s crop of nominees seeKendrick LamarandDrakeleading the pack with the most total nominations (8 and 7 respectively), female artists are flooding the nomination pool across genres.

“Woke up filled with hope. Dreams come true y’all… thank you Christina. I love you so much,” she tweeted. “I grew up in Texas, singing to Christina every day, DESPERATELY trying to hit her high notes.. if you would’ve told me I’d have a Grammy nod with her I would’ve laughed in your face!! This is so surreal.”

Aguilera soon replied, “You deserve it all and getting to work with you was its own award for me @ddlovato. There’s no one I’d rather share this with!! 💞”

Maren Morriscelebrated her five nominations with her fans on social media Friday. The country star, who had a breakthrough year with her crossover collaboration “The Middle,” previously took home the prize for best country solo performance in 2017. Morris’ Grammy noms are cherries on top of a memorable 2018, including herMarch weddingto husband Ryan Hurd.

“What … the hell,” the musician tweeted upon learning of her nods, teasing her tune “The Middle.” “WHY DON’T YOU JUST MEET ME AT THE GRAMMYS! I am so honored.”

Janelle Monáewas brought to tears as her album of the year nomination was announced in her presence live onCBS This Morning.

MeanwhileKelsea Ballerini, a surprise nominee for best country album for her sophomore albumUnapologetically,shared a tearful FaceTime videowith her mom Carla.

“This woman moved me to Nashville to pursue music when I was 15 years old. Today I got to call her and tell her about my 2nd Grammy nom for an album that she watched me live,” the singer wrote. “Her face says it all. I love you mom.”

Late rapperMac Miller‘s mom Karen Meyers celebrated her son’sposthumous nominationwith an array of emojis.

“I am so deeply moved I’ve been in tears all morning. Thank you to the Recording Academy for recognizing our song “Shallow” fromA Star Is Bornin four categories including Record and Song of the Year! And thank you deeply for nominating my piano version of “Joanne,” a song I sang while I was recovering from many issues, a moment that revived me, a song about family and loss,” she wrote.

Another major contender?Cardi Bcould be a big winner with five nominations in many of the major categories. Since the April release of her debut album,Invasion of Privacy, the rapper has amassed much success on the charts thanks to hit songs such as “I Like It” and “Be Careful.” Fresh fromFriday morning’s court date,the moment Cardi B learned of her nominationsis an instant classic.

After 25 years as a group, theBackstreet Boyswere thrilled with their nomination for best pop group/duo group performance for “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”
