First We Feast

Hot OneshostSean Evansis now a key stakeholder in First We Feast, the studio that produces his popular celebrity interview series.

Buzzfeed reportedly sold the studio for $82.5 million in cash to a group of buyers including Evans, First We Feast founder Chris Schonberger, podcast media company Crooked Media, Rhett & Link’s Mythical Entertainment and Soros Fund Management, perVariety.

Additional investors will be announced at a later date, the publication reports.

Through the new sale, Schonberger will assume the role of CEO of First We Feast while Evans will take on the newly created position of chief creative officer in addition to continuing to hostHot Ones.

In a statement to the outlet, Evans reflected on the monumental sale ahead of the show’s milestone anniversary.

He concluded his statement teasing, “The future is spicy, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Varietyreports that the new investment in First We Feast will “let it expand into new areas, Schonberger said, including new platforms, live events and talent acquisitions.”

Hot Ones will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year and will officially kick things off with their “Annual Hot One’s Holiday Extravaganza” on Dec. 19.

The new season ofHot Onesis set to premiere on Jan. 26.
