It’s been a while since the Bundy family lived next door to the D’Arcys, and Jefferson D’Arcy himself wishes it would have been easier to stay in touch.

In an interview withFox News, Ted McGinley — who played Jefferson D’Arcy onMarried… with Children— admitted that he hasn’t remained close with his costars since the show went off the air in 1997, calling it one of his “largest faults in life.” However, he explained that he simply drifted apart from the cast.

“I would say one of my largest faults in life, and I just have so many, is that I just keep moving on,” said McGinley, who was the love interest of Amanda Bearse’s character Marcy, the beloved neighbor to the suburbanite Bundy family at the show’s center.

TheHope & Faithstar, 65, shared that the reason he fell out of touch with his costars, which included Bearse,Ed O’Neill,Katey Sagal, David Garrison,Christina ApplegateandDavid Faustino, was because he had a family at the time and doesn’t use social media today. “I think mostly because I had young kids and a wife and I went on to work in New York, so I just kept going on,” he said. “I don’t do social media, per se, so I’m not able to connect like people do. It’s not my thing. I just keep going forward.”

Despite losing touch with his former costars on the Fox series, which ran for 11 seasons from 1987 to 1997, McGinley said they remain supportive of one another. “If we run into each other, we’re very friendly with each other,” he noted.

“For example, if Ed O’Neill and I were to run into each other, had a coffee early in the morning, we would have an amazing time, or a beer late at night. It would be fun,” he continued. “Same with Amanda. I have run into Amanda.”

The sitcom performer added that it’s not just hisMarried… with Childrencostars, but rather, he has “a difficult connecting all the time,” even with his closest friends.
