U.S. soldiers are hoping to rescue a paralyzed dog living in the Middle East.
“This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are more than willing to step in and help save Tiny Tammy,” Robert Misseri, the co-founder of the organization, said in a statement. “She won’t survive if we don’t get her out of there.”

According to Paws of War, soldiers found Tiny Tammy hiding under an old couch, where she “was starving and terrified.”
“She was shaking with pain, and her eyes were screaming for help,” U.S. Army Sergeant Jack said, per the organization.
Though he and his fellow soldiers have provided food and care for Tiny Tammy, they are unable to bring her back with them to their base, which is why they are teaming up with Paws of War to get her to the U.S.
“She won’t make it here, but if she can get to America, I can give her a life where all her needs are met, and she will be safe and loved," Sergeant Jack said. “She’s fighting to live. I can’t give up on her now, and I am so thankful to everyone who is willing to help save her.”
According to Paws of War, it is “a costly mission to get Tammy moved to America,” which is why they are currently raising funds to bring her to the U.S.
The nonprofit — which also focuses on giving back to veterans in various ways — says the extent of Tiny Tammy’s health conditions is currently “unknown.”
“Still, she will receive a complete medical evaluation and all the care that is necessary to help her recover and thrive to the best of her ability,” the organization added.
